We simplified the presentation and organization of what was, at the time, a very complex product offering with multiple browser and server products for different operating systems. We provided a chart for selecting the appropriate version and indicated an estimated download time. We numbered steps for the entire process to let people know how they were doing. Our goal was to give customers confidence in the process and in themselves as they engaged in a fairly complex interaction with the Netscape site.
